The Royal Celtic Society’s next event takes place on Thursday 12 March 2020 at 6.30 pm at The Scottish Arts Club, Rutland Square, Edinburgh.
Song Over Scotland is an evening of story and song in all of Scotland’s indigenous languages, including Gaelic, Scots, English and Norn, the native language of Shetland, performed to great acclaim as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe by Professor David Purdie and Robyn Stapleton. They have kindly offered to reprise their Fringe show for society members and supporters.
David, a long-time member of the Society and a superb raconteur, collaborates with singer Robyn to take us on a magical tour of Scotland through our traditional songs and balladry. Their concert begins at 7.00 pm and will be followed by supper in the club’s dining room for those who are able to stay.
Please join us for this delightful, convivial evening. Pre-booking is essential by emailing chairman@royalcelticsociety.scot and submitting payment via the Paypal button on this website. £35 per head including supper; £15 per head for the concert only. Both tickets include wine or soft drinks upon arrival.
