The winner of the Royal Celtic Society prize was Alex Pavlovic from Houston Texas. This is his first appearance at Oban. His piping tutor, also from Houston, is Nick Hudson who won our A Grade Strathspey and Reel competition last year. The Royal Celtic Prize is awarded to the best all round piper in the HSOL MacGregor Memorial competition and the Intermediate March, Strathspey and Reel competition. Alex came first in the MacGregor and third in the Intermediate MSR.
The College of Piping trophy was presented by Andrew Younger the new President of the Highland Society of London who sponsor the MacGregor Competition.
The Argyllshire Gathering piping competitions next year will held on the 25th and 26th August 2027.
